Day 1: The Essentials of Sydney

Today was my first day as the escort of the Post East Discover Sydney Familiarisation Tour, and what a day it was! As we drove around Sydney stopping at different hotels to pick up the delegates, I started to get really excited.  The Sydney Harbour Bridgeclimb was our first stop. Everyone we picked up was very friendly and just as excited as I was to get to the bridge.  I had 2 men from Singapore, 3 women from Singapore, 3 men from India, and 2 women from Korea. We were all keen to start climbing!

This is our group before the Bridgeclimb. We are showing off our fancy new hats!
All of us on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We were yelling out of happines, not fear :)
The Bridgeclimb definitely worked up a fierce appetite in all of us.  We were more than happy to sit down, relax, and enjoy a beautiful seafood lunch at the Waterfront Cafe on The Rocks.

The food was absolutely delicious and was perfectly complemented by the great company!
You can't have a tour of Sydney without visiting the beautiful Sydney Opera House.  So, after lunch, we made our way there and enjoyed a full private tour.  We learned all about the history and even got to see inside some of the auditoriums!
Krystle, Dorothy, and Keller on the balcony of the Opera House.

Sajan and I sharing a moment out on the balcony. What a wonderful view!
We were lucky enough to be able to take picture inside the Opera House. I think majestic is the word I am looking for here.
After the Sydney Opera House (and grabbing a quick nap at our hotel), we headed to Star City Hotel and Casino for dinner at The Lotus Pond.

I had never seen food prepared like this before! Peking duck - and it was delicious.
Kaushik really got a kick out of the peking duck.
Everyone had a great time and was VERY impressed by the meal.
The amount of food served to us was overwhelming! It was definitely some of the best Chinese food I have ever had, and everyone else seemed to agree.  After stuffing ourselves to the max, we tried our luck at the casino.  Although we didn't all win, it was definitely a good ending to a great day.

We all went home exhausted, but excited to wake up and take on the activities for the next day!
